Get Involved - Donate

If you would like to make an automated monthly donation in an amount of your choosing, this will help the team plan around a predictable cash flow:

Alternatively, you can donate at any time through any of the following methods:

  • E-Transfer: Please send e-transfers to info@covidconstitutionalchallengebc.ca. This donation method is preferred because the brokerage fees are much lower than conventional merchant processors. If you wish to remain anonymous, please annotate your transfer as such. Please do not use this email address for general correspondence.

  • GoFundMe: You can access our campaign page here. If you wish to remain anonymous, please select that option when prompted. If you have concerns about GoFundMe, please refer to our status update of 23 February, 2022, for an explanation.

  • Cheque, Wire, or Bank Draft: Please contact reception to make arrangements to donate by any of these methods. Always remember to indicate whether you wish to remain anonymous or not.

  • Cash: We prefer to not accept cash donations because it complicates our book keeping.

  • Cryptocurrencies: We accept several cryptocurrencies. If you do not see your favourite that you would like to use, please write us.

CSASPP is entirely run by volunteers. Donor funds are used to pay for disbursements like filing fees, flyers, couriers for service of process, printing, legal scholar consultants, expert witnesses, solicitor fees, web hosting, and other administrative costs. But the bulk of the expenses are allocated towards lawyer fees for drafting and prosecuting our claim. Too much is at stake and so the decision was made early to not cut any corners whenever possible.

Please note that contributors will not enter into a solicitor-client relationship with a lawyer engaged in the litigation. Our lawyer will have no direct duty to account or report on the litigation to you, but we certainly intend to. Our lawyer can only accept instructions from us. If any funds are not used, the law firm will return them to us and we will in turn return them to you pro rata. And lastly, our lawyer will have no involvement with the crowdfunding campaign.
